The Australasian Association for Engineering Education (AAEE) is excited to offer a suite of awards to recognise outstanding contributions to engineering education in Australasia. These awards, to be presented at the AAEE Annual Conference dinner are judged by a panel of experts drawn from across Australasia. AAEE are pleased to invite nominations for Engineering Education Excellence, Engineering Education Research Design, and Engineering Education Engagement.
Successful applications will be posted on the AAEE website as a way of disseminating the work that has been recognised by an award. Award winners will be invited to produce a video presentation and/or present at the AAEE Awards Roadshow to showcase their work to the AAEE community.
Each category is intended to recognise work that goes beyond good teaching practice. Award winning work should have actual impact or potential for impact on engineering education at a cross-institutional or sector-wide level.
Eligibility requirements apply for all award categories:
Membership of AAEE is open to anyone with an interest in engineering education – engineering academics from other disciplines who teach engineering students, engineering support staff, postgraduate engineering students, engineering librarians, professional engineers, employers, and vocational educators.
As AAEE is a technical society of Engineers Australia (EA), AAEE membership is run through the EA portal.
If you are already a member of Engineers Australia or one of Engineers Australia’s other Technical Societies – you can add AAEE to your Technical Society membership(s) by logging into the EA portal using your existing ID and password.
If you are NOT already a member of Engineers Australia or any of Engineers Australia’s other Technical Societies – you will need to create a new account with Engineers Australia on the EA portal and list AAEE as your Technical Society of choice.
