Guoping Hu is a research engineer at the University of Western Australia. He received his PhD from the University of Melbourne in 2018. His expertise is in separation engineering including the carbon capture, capture of fugitive gases and natural gas production. He has managed and conducted various upscaled R&D projects including a carbon capture demonstration, hydrometallurgical process, and ILZ methane enrichment technology. He has contributed to 1 book, 23 peer-reviewed publications and 7 patents. He won many prizes including the Young Scientist Research Prizes awarded by Royal Society of Victoria and a IChemE Global Award for Young Researchers Finalist.
