As an academic/researcher and an engineer spanning over 30 years, Professor Saeid Nahavandi is recognised internationally for research and innovation in robotic, haptic, (tactile sensing), intelligent systems, and human-machine interaction technologies. Serving as a consultant to government and industry in Australia, Europe, and the USA, he pioneered multi-point haptic technologies to produce high-fidelity engineering solutions. Today, he has developed several world-first haptically-enabled robotic and virtual-reality systems for real-world applications. His engineering research and innovation has transitioned into commercial products in the international market, generating economic value and creating jobs for Australian communities, delivering tangible benefit to our industry and society.
