Ben Chapman is a Civil Engineer with over 10 years of experience. He is an integral part of the tunnel group of SMEC Australia where he utilises his experience designing structural and geotechnical components of tunnels and underground structures. Ben provides on-site construction-phase design support and supervision services for many large-scale tunnel, hydropower, rail and road projects. He has guided design and construction phases of numerous significant tunnel projects including NorthConnex, the Ulu Jelai Hydroelectric Project and the Adelaide Desalination Project. Ben is currently the Owner’s Representative for the Tunnels discipline and Geotechnical Baseline Report on the Snowy 2.0 project.
